Are all your bikes road legal in the UK?

Yes, all our bikes are road legal in the UK. They are designed to comply with UK regulations for electric bikes, featuring a motor power output of no more than 250 watts and a top speed of 15.5 mph. This means you can ride them on public roads and bike paths without the need for a license or registration, as long as you are at least 14 years old.

Are e-bikes allowed on UK public transport?

Yes, e-bikes are generally allowed on UK public transport, including trains and buses, but it’s always best to check with the specific transport provider for any restrictions or requirements.

Can I ride my e-bike in bike lanes and paths?

Yes, e-bikes are allowed in bike lanes and on bike paths in the UK, as long as they meet the legal requirements mentioned above.

Can I attach a throttle to my e-bike?

Yes, you can attach a throttle to our e-bikes. However, please be aware that using a throttle in the UK is prohibited as it reclassifies your e-bike as a moped, requiring a driver’s licence and registration. We provide throttles, but you will need to sign a disclaimer before we dispatch it.

Can I unlock the speed on my e-bike?

Yes, you can unlock the speed, and we can provide you with the necessary information. To access this information, you must sign a terms and conditions disclaimer, which transfers all responsibility for by passing speed limits and ensuring compliance with UK laws to you. We highly recommend against by passing these limits to avoid fines and legal issues.

Can I attach a child seat or trailer to my e-bike?

Absolutely! You can attach a child seat or trailer to your e-bike. Please contact us at support@justvolt.com, and we will provide you with third-party options to suit your needs.

What should be the tire pressure for my e-bike?

For the Nitro range, the tires should be inflated to a pressure between 25psi and 35psi.

Why am I getting less range than advertised?

The advertised maximum range is based on factory-tested conditions. Various factors can affect your range, including rider weight, pedal assist level, speed, battery charge level, terrain, tire pressure, and LCD settings. If you believe your bike is significantly underperforming, please contact us at support@justvolt.com for assistance.

How long does it take to charge the battery?

Charging the battery typically takes about 4 hours. If the battery is severely depleted, it might take up to 6 hours. Ensure the battery is switched off before charging to maximise its lifespan.

My battery performance has decreased over the month. What should I do?

Proper battery maintenance is crucial for optimal performance. We recommend charging your battery to 100% once a month if you don’t use your e-bike daily. Avoid prolonged cold storage as lithium-ion batteries degrade in cold temperatures, reducing their lifespan.

How do I turn on the light on my e-bike?

To turn on the light, press and hold the + button for a few seconds until the light turns on. To turn it off, follow the same procedure.

How do I fold my e-bike?

To fold your e-bike:

  • Frame: Undo the central quick-release lever, swing it out 90 degrees,and lift it to release the two halves of the frame for folding.
  • Handlebars: Push the red button in and pull the black lever out.
  • Pedals: Either pull the metal ring outward or push the pedal bodyinward, depending on the pedal model fitted to your bike.
I can’t push the red button to fold my handlebars; what should I do?

Try raising the handlebars a few centimetres to allow the red button to pop out for folding.

My brakes have stopped working; how can I fix them?

Mechanical disc brakes require regular adjustments, especially on fat tyre bikes. If you are not familiar with these brakes, we recommend seeking advice and service from a professional bicycle mechanic or contacting us at support@justvolt.com for more information.

I have encountered an error code, what should I do?

How are e-bikes shipped?

E-bikes are typically shipped partially assembled in a secure box. Instructions and necessary tools for final assembly will be included. If you need assistance, we recommend taking your e-bike to a local bike shop for professional assembly.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping times vary based on your location and the shipping method chosen at checkout. On average, you can expect your e-bike to arrive within 2 to 3 business days

Do you ship internationally?

Currently, we do not offer international shipping. Shipping is limited to select regions within the UK. For more details or any specific inquiries, please refer to our shipping policy or contact our support team.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping costs are calculated based on your location and the size and weight of the package. You can view the shipping costs during the checkout process before completing your purchase.

Can I track my shipment?

Yes, once your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email. You can use this number to track your package's progress online.

What if my e-bike arrives damaged?

If your e-bike arrives damaged, please contact our customer service team immediately. We will assist you with the return process and work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

What is your return policy?

Changed your mind? No problem! You have 30 days from the date of collection or delivery to return your item(s).

To qualify for a return, please ensure the item is brand new, with seals intact, unused, and in its original packaging with all accessories and manuals included.
